Fleapa AI Ep. 1
Last Monday, Microsoft held their livestream event, talking all about AI and their new hardware and software for it. To start off, they have a new PC category, designed for AI, called Copilot+PCs. *show operations per second clip* Microsoft say that this new chip by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon X Elite allows these new PCs to be 58% faster than the M3 MacBook Air. They say it’s even efficient enough for an all day battery too, they say it’s 20% more battery life than the M3 15” MacBook Air!
Copilot also gets new features on these PCs! Copilot can give suggestions in the settings app, quick edit a photo, upscale video games, and rapidly respond to notifications. There is also this new calling feature for Microsoft Copilot, and you can share your screen and get assistance in whatever you’re doing, or like in their example, playing Minecraft! *show Minecraft clip*. The computer will now be taking a snapshot of your PC every few seconds and you can ask Copilot to retrieve anything you have done on your computer.
Microsoft is debuting these new features in their new laptops, Surface Laptop and Surface Pro Copilot+ PCs . Their Surface Pro laptop, comes with a new keyboard called the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard. It is a removable keyboard that can be connected with bluetooth too. So your keyboard doesn’t have to stick with the rest of your computer. It also contains a pen called the Slim Pen that is charged on the top of the keyboard. You can pre-order them right now, both the Surface Laptop and Surface Pro Copilot+ PCs starting at 999 USD.
Though, Microsoft won’t be the only ones making Copilot+ PCs as Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung will all be releasing their new Copilot Plus PCs as well.
